CSR classics is a free-to-play drag-racing game known for gameplay. It is designed specifically for mobile audiences, with short duration, mini bursts of races (between 10-15 seconds) also called snacking gameplay, which a player can be quickly consumed, when one is taking a break or in between other chores, and which is great relaxation.
The gameplay itself is involving gear shifts and aiming for perfect start timing requiring some level of skill. Not that difficult to get hang of, but variable timings of these controls across different racing modes, does make it challenging.
It is however more intuitive, functional, and completely change players experience being more pleasant and simple.
Graphic, logo, and interface design for year one of CSR Classics and as part of the UX design process we worked in tandem with the internal UX design team to address complex user interface and experiencing challenges. The result is a gaming experience which brings a new level of sophistication and elegance as well as vintage look to CSR design style. It aligns it with energy, action, performance, and glamour of the super racing car circuit.
It also features innovative particle effects as well as a real-time reflection.
The developer behind CSR Racing, currently one of the highest-grossing AppStore and Google Play games, has defended its controversial in-app purchases system.
